  August 2024 Human Resources Update Hiring: We continue to use a wide range of strategies to recruit and fill our vacancies.  Our postings in RecruitFront automatically go to  Indeed  for anyone to see.  Postcards have been mailed to all residents to fill our school related professional positions.  This approach has worked quite well throughout the last few years.  Our retention of staff is at a high level. A mid-year survey will take place again in January for all newly-hired employees who start between July 1, 2024 and January 1, 2025.  As you know, we want to hear from staff on how we can improve to support our newest hires.   Feedback and participation are the key!  March  2024 Human Resources and  Business Office Update The Retirement & Service Awards Celebration will be held on Friday, June 26, 2024 at 12:45 p.m. in the High School Auditorium. All are welcome to join the luncheon prior to the celebration, which will start at 12:00 p.m. in the High School gymnasium. Join us in celebrating our retirees and colleagues! COVID Update:  On March 1, 2024, the CDC adopted new guidelines for COVID-19, which can be found here:  CDC Guidance for Respiratory Virus . This new guidance compares precautions and procedures for COVID-19 to those for other respiratory illnesses, and removes the requirement of mandatory isolation.  The CDC reiterated that when individuals become sick with a respiratory virus, it is recommended that they stay home and away from others. For individuals who test positive specifically for COVID-19 and influenza, treatment is available and can lessen symptoms and lower the risk of severe illness. ...

Workforce Diversity:   As part of the District Improvement Team, we are continuing our long range equity plan.   November 9, 2023 Update Reminder for required trainings GCN Trainings: Good news!  66% of all staff have completed the required online trainings.  Cheer your colleagues on so they can complete the rest of their courses.  As a reminder, we expect everyone to complete their trainings by Thanksgiving.   See your supervisor if you have any questions about the expectations or deadline.   Oath Requirement Required Oath:  New York State requires all civil service employees and all certified staff to sign an oath once during their career.  In an effort to address this requirement, we communicated with union leaders to let them know that we will be sending the form once to all employees and then making it part of our onboarding process starting on December 1st.  To see what it will look in SchoolFront, below is an image of what employees will see.
