NYS Testing Mandate:
Testing starts the week of October 11th. We were pleased to add some additional staff to support and offer more locations. Thank you to those individuals who are supporting us with this additional mandate from NYS. Our goal is to offer a voluntary testing program for all employees as quickly as we are able to do so. We will communicate more information as it becomes available.
Vaccination Status: After uploading your vaccine card, you should be able to access it through SchoolFront. We wanted this proof to be available to you. You will see the red tab at the bottom of your homepage in SchoolFront.

We processed approximately 1,000 individuals with everyone's effort to be in compliance. A huge thank you to our Principals, Directors and Supervisors, as well as the HR Office Staff for taking on this monumental task put in front of us from NYS.
Referral Bonus Program Comes to Hilton:
With
the overall labor shortage, we wanted to reward our current employees with a
bonus for referring individuals to work in Hilton as Cleaners, Bus Drivers, Teacher Aides, Teaching Assistants,
and Food Service Workers to the District to fill probationary vacancies during
the 2021-22 school year. All units have now agreed to the program. So get out the
good news and if the individual that you referred is hired and says that you
referred them for employment, you may earn an additional $1,000. The
way this program is written, an employee can earn up to $1,000. If they refer
someone and that person works at least 60 days in the 21-22 school year, they
get $250. If the new person works at least 60 days and until the end of the
21-22 school year, the employee gets another $250. If the new person works 150
days (which can span into the 22-23 school year), the employee gets $500. All
referrals must be in the 21-22 school year and new employees must start in
their position prior to June 30, 2022.
This
will allow someone to refer a new person and potentially meet all milestones
(60 days, 150 days, finishes out the school year) in the 21-22 school year and
earn $1,000.
- Or,
if someone works only 60 days and resigns, the employee still gets $250.
- Or,
if someone works 60 days and finishes out the school year, the employee gets
$500 total.
- Or,
if someone works 60 days, finishes out the school year, and then keeps working
for us into the 22-23 school year and eventually meets the 150 mark, they get
the full $1,000.
- Or,
if someone starts with us on June 20 but continues working 150 days in the
22-23 school year, the employee still gets $500.

Mandated Training 2021-2022-"Less is More":
All active employees(not substitutes) will need to attend one of the trainings this year on being a mandated reporter. Here is a description for the Less is More training. “This training is intended to provide Mandated Reporters with
the ability to handle disclosures of child abuse. Child abuse is disturbing,
complex and extremely difficult to investigate. How professionals react and
respond to a suspected child abuse allegation will have a direct impact on the
child’s recovery from the traumatic act and on the integrity of the subsequent
investigation. This training is designed to give school and childcare
personnel, along with medical, mental health and other therapeutic providers
the tools needed to optimally respond when a child discloses or indicates that
he or she may be a victim of sexual and/or physical abuse.”
