Mandated Training 2021-2022-"Less is More"
All active employees (not substitutes) will need to attend one of the trainings this year on being a mandated reporter. Here is a description for the Less is More training. “This training is intended to provide Mandated Reporters with the ability to handle disclosures of child abuse. Child abuse is disturbing, complex and extremely difficult to investigate. How professionals react and respond to a suspected child abuse allegation will have a direct impact on the child’s recovery from the traumatic act and on the integrity of the subsequent investigation. This training is designed to give school and childcare personnel, along with medical, mental health and other therapeutic providers the tools needed to optimally respond when a child discloses or indicates that he or she may be a victim of sexual and/or physical abuse.”
If you didn't attend the October 8, 2021 training, plan to attend the March 16, 2022 training.
