October 31, 2022 Human Resources Update

We want to remind everyone about the Safe Schools Helpline Link that is on our homepage and each school's homepage.  This anonymous reporting system is for students, parents and staff.  Each report is followed up on.  Mandatory reporter training was provided by Bivona in person last October 7, 2021 and March 15, 2022 and through our GCN service this year.  GCN has updated their mandated reporter training for 2023-24.  Here is the link to the NYS Mandated Reporter Guide.

COVID Questions:  

Good news, we are fielding less questions about COVID concerns.  Please continue to use the visual below to review the required process for all staff to report being COVID positive. 
Here is the Isolation Chart   &   Hilton CSD Q&A for COVID-19 is also posted her for you to access. 

Payroll Changes:  Starting in September, we started a new procedure for individuals that wish to change their direct deposits.  Due to attempted fraudulent requests, we will only accept payroll changes in person.  Please come to the Human Resources Office with your ID badge and banking information.  Debbie or Mindy will confirm your request before Brittany or Ned sign off and provide it to the Payroll Specialist.

Investing:  Hilton has approved the following providers for your 403B investments.  Please feel free to reach out to any one of these providers.  


Open Enrollment: 

 
It is that time of year when you can make a change to your medical insurance plan.  Please read the information from Wendy Radford to ensure no gaps in insurance coverage or use of HRA or HSA.  She will communicate more in November.  

Board Policies: The following Board Policies were updated at the October 11, 2022 meeting. All policies are now kept and updated on BoardDocs.  Please click Hilton BOE Policies to keep up to date.

  • 7313 – Suspension of Students
  • 7590 -  Suicide (Recommended changing title to Suicide Prevention and Intervention)
  • 1333 – Duties of the School Physician/Nurse Practitioner
  • 1335 – Duties of the Tax Collector

Safety Data Sheets:  As a follow up to the Hazardous Communication GCN training, we thought it would be helpful to share that the Safety Data Sheets for any product we use in Hilton can be found online.  Here is the link to our "Safety Data Sheets" Hilton Safety Data Sheets for anything we use filtered by department.  If you go to the home page, go to Menu, click locations and you will see the departments below and all of the data sheets for chemicals we use.  This link can also be found on the HCSD Intranet page.
